  2. Fever : Plant part used: Sheet. Documented pharmacological profile: Paracetamol-like.
  3. Inflammation : Plant part used: Sheet. Documented pharmacological profile: Dexamethasone-like.
    According to SARANYA S (2014): at doses of 100, 250 & 500 mg/kg was investigated for antiinflammatory & antipyretic activities on carrageenan induced rat paw edema & brewer’s Yeast-induced pyrexia in rats. In the Systemic edema of the rat paw, the extract significantly (P<0.05) suppressed the development of paw edema. According to Khairnar K (2011): The methanolic extract of Allamanda cathartica Linn & Piper nigrum Linn were prepared and their anti-inflammatory activity was investigated using the carageenan – induced paw edema model in rats individually & in two different combinations.
