1. Type II diabetes mellitus : Plant part used: Sheet. Documented pharmacological profile: Diprotine-like.
   According to OSMANI OH (2009): This was tested in normal and streptozotocin induced diabetic rats using oral administration of ethanol extracts of A heterophyllus. Artocarpus heterophyllus is a medicinal plant, used by herbalist for treating various diseases, one of which is Diabetes mellitus. According to Ajiboye BO (2017): This study sought to investigate the ameliorative effects of ethanol extract Artocarpus heterophyllus in alloxan-induced diabetic rats.
2. Arthritis, osteoarthritis, rheumatism : Plant part used: Fruit. Documented pharmacological profile: Diclofenac-like.
3. Oxidative stress : Plant part used: Fruit.
   According to Kô FN (1998): Kô FN et al, Scavenger & antioxidant properties of prenylflavones isolated from Artocarpus heterophyllus. According to Ajiboye BO (2017): Assays determined were serum insulin, lipid peroxidation, & antioxidant enzyme activities. EAH stem bark reduced fasting blood glucose & lipid peroxidation levels & increased serum insulin levels & activities of antioxidant enzymes.
