    According to KO JY (2011): Additionally, BL inhibited experimental bronchitis induced by intratracheal instillation of LPS to rats. In this study, the effects of BL on lung infl ammation including bronchitis were examined in vitro & in vivo.
  2. Urolithiasis, gout : Plant part used: Bark. Documented pharmacological profile: Allopurinol-like.
  3. SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus viremia : Plant part used: Root. Documented pharmacological profile: Duranavir-like, Lopinavir-like.
    According to Ghosh R (2021): The current COVID-19 pandemic is caused by SARS CoV-2. Several attempts have been taken in search of effective drugs to control the spread of SARS CoV-2 infection. According to GUO P (2023): Broussonetia papyrifera is rich in flavonoids, which have significant antioxidant, antibacterial, & anti-inflammatory activities and certain pharmacological activities.
