- Convulsion, epileptic fit : Plant part used: Flower. Documented pharmacological profile: Diazepam-like.
According to Hosseini M (2011): The duration of tonic convulsion (a tonic extension of the hind limb) was recorded. The animals of groups 1 & 5 received saline (10 ml/kg) a&diazepam (3 mg/kg) respectively, instead of extract. According to Azanchi T (2014): The anticonvulsant activity of neroli was assessed in pentylenetetrazole (PTZ)-induced convulsion by i.v. - Cancer : Plant part used: Fruit peel.
According to Odeh F (2012): subspamara peels on a colorectal cancer cell line (Lim1863). In conclosion, CA peels Eos obviously reduced the cell viability & it might have cytotoxic effect against colorectal cancer cell line. According to Goo L (2022): We demonstrated its application for isolation of phenolic compounds with anti-proliferative activity against colorectal cancer cells (CRCs) from Citrus aurantium L. - Liver disorders : Plant part used: Fruit peel. Documented pharmacological profile: Silymarine-like.
According to Lim SH (2016): Mice were sacrificed & liver fibrosis was evaluated by serum & hepatic tissue biochemistry & liver histopathological examination. To evaluate the possible protective effect of Citrus aurantium peel extract (CAE) against apoptosis in cholestatic liver fibrosis induced by bile duct ligation in mice. According to Pallavi M (2021): Remarkably, lime peel extract followed by sour orange & orange at 500 mg kg-1 dose improved hepatic architecture to near normal with less deposition of fat globules & fewer sinusoids.
