  1. Hepatitis, cirrhosis, fatty liver disease : Plant part used: Aerial parts. Documented pharmacological profile: Liv525-like.
According to Lekharani C (2013): The present study was conducted to evaluate the hepato- protective activity of aqueous ethanolic extract of aerial parts of Crotalaria verrucosa in Wistar rats. The aqueous ethanolic extract of aerial parts of C V has shown very significant hepatoprotection against Paracetamol induced hepatotoxicity study models in Wistar rats.
  2. Nervousness, anxiety, insomnia : Plant part used: Sheet. Documented pharmacological profile: Diazepam-like.
  3. Inflammatory conditions : Plant part used: Sheet. Documented pharmacological profile: Indometacine-like, Prednisolone-like.
According to Nawrin K (2016): CVE 600 mg/kg significantly suppressed the biological response (edema) in comparison to both Steroidal & nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Methods: Carrageenan induced rat paw edema and xylene induced mice ear edema tests were performed as in vivo assessment of anti-inflammatory activity. According to Singh KS (2011): To evaluate anti-fertility activity of aerial part of C verrucosa by using 70% ethanolic, 95% ethanolic, and aqueous extracts.

Further indications (including other extraction modes where applicable), dosages, precautions for use and full scientific references are available in the complete monograph.
