According to Gomes E (2017): No toxicity was observed on human gastric adenocarcinoma & hepatocyte carcinoma cell lines, at a maximum concentration of 2.0mg lyophilised extract/ mL. According to Abdoul-Latif MF (2022): Our results demonstrated that the two essential oils could be effective natural anticancer agents, in addition to an antibacterial character for C schoenanthus essential oil. The two essential oils showed inhibitory cytotoxicity activities of all the cancer cells tested; on the other hand, the antibacterial activities are only well-noticed for the CSEO oil at a concentration of 5% against K Pneumoniae, P aeruginosa, Corynebacterium sp., E faecalis & S aureus. - Depression : Plant part used: Sheet. According to Villareal MO (2017): CYM upregulated Mitf & possibly activates tyrosinase enzyme, providing evidence for its possible use to promote melanogenesis & as a therapeutic agent against hypopigmentation disorders,.
