- Neuronal senescence : Plant part used: Fruit.
According to Pattarachotanant N (2020): The extracts protected neuronal senescence by inhibiting ROS generation. Collectively, CH extracts could protect high glucose-induced human neuronal senescence by inducing cell cycle progression & up-regulation of SIRT1, thus leading to the improvement of the neuronal cell functions. According to Okta M (2018): Intrinsic aging is caused by genetic factors & increasing age. - Urolithiasis, gout attack : Plant part used: Sheet. Documented pharmacological profile: Allopurinol-like.
- Doxorubicin-induced liver and heart disease : Plant part used: Fruit.
According to Pallavi M (2021): Remarkably, lime peel extract followed by sour orange & orange at 500 mg kg-1 dose improved hepatic architecture to near normal with less deposition of fat globules & fewer sinusoids. According to Arumugam A (2015): maxima leaf extracts possess hepatoprotective action against paracetamol induced hepatotoxicity. The leaf extracts restored the liver function markers & hepatic antioxidants to the normal level than elevated levels noticed on paracetamol control at p < 0.001.
Further indications (including other extraction modes where applicable), dosages, precautions for use and full scientific references are available in the complete monograph.
