- Osteoarthritis, arthritis, rheumatism, oedema : Plant part used: Sheet. Documented pharmacological profile: Indometacine-like.
According to Mukherjee PK (1998): The antiinflammatory effect of the methanol extract of D. cordata was investigated against carrageenin, histamine, serotonin, dextran & prostaglandin E1 induced rat hind paw oedema. According to Barua CC (2011): To study the analgesic & anti-nociceptive activity of hydroethanolic extract of Drymaria cordata Willd. - Pain, hyperalgesia : Plant part used: Sheet. Documented pharmacological profile: Morphine-like.
According to AKINDELE AJ (2011): This study was conducted to investigate the analgesic & antipyretic properties of the whole plant extract of D. The effects of DC were generally comparable to those of acetylsalicylic acid (ASA, 100 mg kg−1, p.o) & morphine (2 mg kg−1, s.c.). According to Barua CC (2011): To study the analgesic & anti-nociceptive activity of hydroethanolic extract of Drymaria cordata Willd. - Depression : Plant part used: Sheet. Documented pharmacological profile: Fluoxétine-like.
According to KALITA R (2026): Aim of the study: The present study aimed to evaluate the antidepressant & neuroprotective activities of the hydroethanolic extract of DC (HEEDC) using a combination of experimental and computational studies. It has shown several central nervous system (CNS) activities such as anxiolytic, analgesic, anti-nociceptive, antitussive, & anti-amnesic effects, & therefore it has the potential to be relevant in the management of neuropsychiatric disorders such as depression.
