1. Mosquito control : Plant part used: Pest Control and Veterinary Products.
   According to Bukola Egunjobi F (2020): This study evaluated the ovicidal and larvicidal activities of ethanolic leaf extracts of Duranta erecta, Tridax procumbens & Pennisetum purpureum against Anopheles gambiae. erecta ethanolic leaf extracts showed the best efficacy in the control of A. According to NIKAM AV (2024): The physicochemical characteristics of the gel, such as its pH, viscosity, & stability, as well as its efficacy against mosquito larvae & adults, are assessed.
2. Liver disorders, liver stress, abnormal serum parameters : Plant part used: Fruit. Documented pharmacological profile: Silymarine-like.
   According to DONKOR S (2020): Hepatoprotective efficacy was assessed by assaying serum biochemical markers such as alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alkaline phosphatase (ALP), gamma-glutamyl transferase (γGT), bilirubin (Bil), antioxidative biomarkers including reduced glutathione (GSH), glutathione peroxidase (GPx), glutathione transferase (GST), superoxide dismutase (SOD), malondialdehyde (MDA), hydrogen peroxidase (H202),&d nitric oxide (NO), as well as histological observations. This study aimed at determining the acute hepatoprotective efficacy of Duranta erecta hydroethanolic extracts of leaves, ripe & unripe fruits against CCl4-, & acetaminophen-induced hepatotoxicity in animals. According to DONKAR S (2025): The effect of treatment on haematological parameters, biochemical markers such as aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), alkaline phosphatase (ALP), total bilirubin (TBil), alpha-fetoprotein (AFP), liver oxidative stress markers & inflammatory cytokines (interleukin [IL]-17, IL-23, nuclear factor kappa beta [NF-kB], & cycloxygenase-2 [COX-2]) as well as liver histology were evaluated.
3. Fever, febrile state : Plant part used: Sheet. Documented pharmacological profile: Paracétamol-like.
   According to Agwu Ekenma J (2018): The bioefficacy of aqueous extract of leaves of Duranta erecta against the yellow fever & dengue vector, Aedes aegypti was evaluated as a step towards developing a safe & eco-friendly agent to combat the problems of mosquitoes & mosquito-borne diseases.
