  1. Bacterial infection : Plant part used: Sheet. Documented pharmacological profile: Chlorhexidine-like. Mentioned synergistic association: association synergique avec PUNICA GRANATUM –L (Feuille).
According to Honório T (2015): In the in vivo bioassay were used Wistar rats & Staphylococcus aureus (ATCC 25923) & Staphylococcus epidermidis (ATCC 14990). epidermidis compared to chlorhexidine gluconate. According to Coutinho H (2010): were screened for light – activated antibacterial activity against strains of Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli & Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
  2. Fungal infection : Plant part used: Sheet. Mentioned synergistic association: la Natamycine.
According to Chakravartula, S.S.N (2020): Positive antifungal effect of NA containing films was observe-d against Aspergillus flavus & A parasiticus, indicating potential for active food packaging applications. The aim of this work was to develop & characterize film-forming solution & film based on blends of cassava starch/chitosan (CS/CH) incorporated with pitanga (Eugenia uniflora L.) leaf extract (PE) and/or natamycin (NA), produced by casting, and studying their effect on selected physical properties, & antioxidant & anti-fungal activities of films. According to Coutinho H (2010): charantia showed antibacterial activity against an E.
  3. Cancer : Plant part used: Sheet. Documented pharmacological profile: Chlorambucil-like.
According to Ismayati N (2012): leaves (EEU) on breast cancer cell line T47D. The aim of the present study was to identify the antiproliferative effect of ethanolic extract of Eugenia Uniflora Lam. According to Aladesanmi AJ (2020): The alcoholic extracts of the plants were tested against human prostate DU-145, breast JIMT-1, & pancreatic BxPC-3 cancer cell lines using Methane-thiosulfonate (MTS) assay, where chlorambucil was used as positive control.

Further indications (including other extraction modes where applicable), dosages, precautions for use and full scientific references are available in the complete monograph.
