  1. Memory disorders, adjunctive treatment for Alzheimer’s disease : Plant part used: Aerial parts. Documented pharmacological profile: Piracetam-like. Mentioned synergistic association: Clitoria ternatea-parties aériennes, mangiferine, Ocimum tenuiflorum-feuille.
According to Kumar S (2016): To investigate the effect of Polyherbal Formulation on cholinergic dysfunction in STZ induced Alzheimer’s disease (AD). Results: The study showed that STZ significantly impaired learning & memory with a significant enhancement in brain AChE, TBARS & reduction in brain GSH, Catalase & SOD levels. According to Nahata A (2009): The ethanol extract of EA & its ethyl acetate & aqueous fractions was evaluated for their memory enhancing properties.
  2. Memory disorders : Plant part used: Whole plant. Documented pharmacological profile: Donepezil-like. Mentioned synergistic association: Bacopa monnieri, Tinospora cordifolia-plante entières.
According to Singh H (2009): the anti-amnesic potential of the aqueous extract obtained from Evolvulus alsinoides was determined in Alzheimer’s type of dementia induced mice.
  3. Osteoarthritis, arthritis, rheumatism, oedema : Plant part used: Whole plant. Documented pharmacological profile: Indometacine-like.
According to LEKSHMI UMD (2011): The pharmacological result showed that the ethanolic extract at a dose of 250 mg/kg body weight & 500 mg/kg body weight caused a significant (P < 0.05) inhibition of the carrageenan-induced rat paw oedema & a significant (P < 0.05) reduction of hyperpyrexia induced by Brewer’s yeast in rats. (Convolvulaceae) was investigated for anti-inflammatory, antipyretic & antidiarrhoeal properties in female albino rats. According to Reddy PA (2013): The chloroform & Ethyl acetate extracts of the plant have significant anti-inflammatory activity by both methods that is carrageenan & formalin induced paw oedema in rats at 200 & 400mg/kg body weight.

Further indications (including other extraction modes where applicable), dosages, precautions for use and full scientific references are available in the complete monograph.
