  1. Bacterial infection : Plant part used: Sheet. Documented pharmacological profile: Chloramphénicol-like.
Selon Chavan A (2019) : These leaf extracts were screened for antimicrobial activity against Escherichia coli, Bacillus subtilis, Pseudomonas aeruginosa & Staphylococcus aureus. subtilis, MIC of ethanolic extract was found to be 25 mg/mL & 12 mg/mL against S. Selon Agrawal MK (2016) : Staphylococcus aureus (NCIM 2079), Bacillus subtilis (NCIM 2063), Escherichia coli (NCIM 2065), Salmonella typhimurium (NCIM 2501), Streptococcus pneumoniae (NCIM 5281) & a yeast Candida albicans (NCIM 3471).
  2. Hyperalgesia, central and peripheral pain : Plant part used: Sheet. Documented pharmacological profile: Diclofénac-like.
Selon SINGH S (2022) : Conclusion: The extract of FR possesses both central & peripheral analgesic activity thus validating the traditional use of this plant in the management of pain. Objective: To explore the analgesic effect of aqueous root extract of FR using thermal & chemical models of pain in Swiss albino mice. Selon Roy K (2009) : Ficus religiosa leaf are reported to have wound healing, inflammatory, analgesic, anti-lipid- peroxidation activity.
  3. Neurodegenerative disorder : Plant part used: Sheet. Documented pharmacological profile: Piracetam-like, Mentat-like.
Selon Bhangale J (2016) : Huntington’s disease is a fatal neurodegenerative disorder, characterized by cognitive & motor dysfunction, abnormal energy metabolism, & mitochondrial dysfunction. Ficus religiosa is supposed to have effective neuroprotective role on oxidative stress & cognitive functions.
