Selon Baskar N (2012) : In vitro cytotoxicity was evaluated in Hela & NIH3T3 cells by MTT assay & in-vivo antitumor activity with Dalton's ascites lymphoma (DLA) tumor bearing mice. The results showed significant antitumor & cytotoxic effects against DLA & human Cancer Cell line & support the ethno-medical use of IB in cancer therapy. Selon Li Q (2017) : The result suggested that triterpene saponins from IB are potential food ingredients that can be used as new anti-hepatic fibrosis agent. - Bacterial infection : Plant part used: Flower. Documented pharmacological profile: Ampicilline-like.
Selon Aritonang H.F (2019) : camara were separately tested for their antimicrobial activity against Gram-positive Staphylococcus aureus & Gram-negative Escherichia coli bacteria. coli by ciprofloxacin & that by the extracts of IB leaves containing 3 mM & 5 mM Ag precursors. Selon Thevissen K (2005) : Seeds of Impatiens balsamina contain a set of related antimicrobial peptides (Ib-AMPs). - Allergy, pruritus, atopic dermatitis : Plant part used: Flower.
Selon Oku H (2002) : The present results indicate that these compounds are promising for treating allergic diseases with chronic & severe pruritus. The antipruritic effects of orally administered 1,4-naphthoquinone derivatives & related compounds on compound 48/80-induced scratching behavior in mice were studied. Selon OKU H (2001) : & the principal active compounds from IB on chronic & serious pruritus & the development of dermatitis using NC mice, a model of atopic dermatitis.
