  1. Cancer : Plant part used: Sheet. Documented pharmacological profile: 5-Fluoro-Uracile-like.
Selon Alarmal Mangaï S (2017) : The Chloroform, ethyl acetate & ethanol extract of the plant were used to analyse the cytotoxicity against the human cancer cell lines –human liver carcinoma cancer cell line (HepG2) & cervical cancer cell line (HeLa) by MTT assay. India has about several thousand medicinal plants which possess notable cancer curing properties. Selon Zain NC (s.d.) : Zain NC et al, EFFECT of 70% ETANOL EXTRACT Justicia gendarussa Burm.f, in CAPSULE to RENAL FUNCTION, LIVER FUNCTION, & LIPID PROFILE to SERUM for NORMAL ADULT MEN, Penulis : Rev Kurniati Septanti.
  2. Arthritis, osteoarthritis, arthritis, rheumatism : Plant part used: Aerial parts. Documented pharmacological profile: Aceclofenac-like.
Selon Jothimanivannan C (2010) : The anti-inflammatory activity of the extract was evaluated by using carrageenan-induced rat paw edema & cotton pellet granuloma method. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the anti-inflammatory & analgesic activities of the ethanol extract of aerial parts of Justicia gendarussa (EJG) in animal models. Selon Kumar K (2018) : In vitro studies revealed that pretreatment of ox-LDL induced hPBMCs with apigenin (25 μM) significantly (P < 0.05) reduced the levels of TLR4, MyD88, TRIF, TRAF6, NF-κB, COX-2, PGE2, IL-1β & TNF-α responsible for generating inflammation & elevated the level of anti-inflammatory cytokine, IL-10.
  3. HIV : Plant part used: Sheet. Documented pharmacological profile: Lamivudine-like.
Selon Auteur (2011) : Herbal cure: Justicia gendarussa: water willow prevents human influenza, Indiaheals.blogspot.in/2011/in/Justicia gendarussa-water-willow.html. Selon Sugumaran P (2013) : The obtained biomass of leaves, stem & root were examined for antibacterial activity against various human pathogenic organisms such as Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Shigella sp., Pseudomonas sp. Rooting & biomass production of Justicia gendarussa has been achieved through a hydroponic system of cultivation.
