  1. Bacterial infection : Plant part used: Bark. Documented pharmacological profile: Streptomycine-like.
Selon Mosquera-Chaverra L (2022) : The results showed remarkable antibacterial activity of the ethanolic extract (20 mg/ml) against Staphylococcus aureus (22.6 mm) & Escherichia coli (19.6 mm) & of the crude water extract (20 mg/ml) against Staphylococcus aureus (18.5 mm) & E coli (12.4 mm). Antibacterial activity & minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) were carried out by agar diffusion & dilution methods, respectively, using ethanolic & aqueous extracts. Selon Remon-Rodriguez H (2012) : The dried extracts showed antibacterial activity in vitro against Staphylococcus aureus (ATCC 29737).
  2. Periodontitis, dental caries : Plant part used: Seed. Documented pharmacological profile: Gentamycine-like.
Selon Herrera-Herrera Ale (2014) : The strains of Porphyromonas gingivalis ATCC 33277 & Streptococcus mutans ATCC 25175 were exposed to this extract to evaluate its antibacterial effect. Americana extract against Porphyromonas gingivalis & Streptococcus mutans. Selon Remon-Rodriguez H (2012) : The dried extracts showed antibacterial activity in vitro against Staphylococcus aureus (ATCC 29737).
  3. Cattle ixodosis : Plant part used: pest control and veterinary. Documented pharmacological profile: Deltaméthrine-like.

Further indications (including other extraction modes where applicable), dosages, precautions for use and full scientific references are available in the complete monograph.
