- Cancer : Plant part used: Seed. Mentioned synergistic association: Doxorubicine, Cyclosphamide.
Selon Irshan Y (2017) : The objective of this research is to evaluate the potency of Melia azedarach leaves ethanolic extract as anticancer by inhibition of cancer cell proliferation. Antiproliferative effect of the extract was analyzed by cell direct calculation method using hemocytometer. Selon Yao C (2015) : : several constituents from MA possess antiherpetic, antiangiogenic & anticancer properties. - Hypercholesterolaemia, hypertriglyceridaemia, hyperlipidaemia : Plant part used: Sheet. Documented pharmacological profile: Simvastatine-like.
Selon Herlina H (2019) : Based on the percentage relation of decreased total cholesterol & LDL levels to dose, then the effective dose 50 (ED50) value of ethanol extract mindi’s leave is 869 mg/200 gBW for total cholesterol & for LDL reduction level is 1086.84 mg/ 200 gBW. The study purposed to know antihyperlipidemic effect of ethanol extract of MA’s leaves seen from total cholesterol, & LDL in male albino rats. Selon Sulistiyani E (2017) : Currently no report could be found regarding lipid accumulation in C. - Normalisation of blood test results : Plant part used: Sheet. Documented pharmacological profile: Silymarine-like.
Selon Srinivasan Rao A (2012) : There was a significant change in biochemical parameters (increases in serum glutamate pyruvate transaminase (SGPT), Serum glutamate oxaloacetate transaminase (SGOT), alanine phosphatase (ALP), serum Bilirubin & decrease the total proteins content.) in simvastatin treated rats, which were restored towards normalization in M azedarach (300 mg/kg & 500 mg/kg) treated animals. The aim of the study is to investigate the hepatoprotective activity of Melia azedarach leaves extracts against simvastatin induced hepatotoxicity. Selon Ahmed MS (2013) : increases in Serum Glutamate Pyruvate Transaminase (SGPT), Serum Glutamate Oxaloacetate Transaminase (SGOT), Alanine Phosphatase (ALP), Serum Bilirubin & decrease in Total proteins content, which were restored towards normalization in extracts treated rats.
Further indications (including other extraction modes where applicable), dosages, precautions for use and full scientific references are available in the complete monograph.
