- Type II diabetes mellitus : Plant part used: Root. Documented pharmacological profile: Metformine-like.
Selon Palanichamy C (2025) : In the present study, the significant effect of ethanolic extract of MP to scavenge excessive free radicals & alleviate the deleterious effects of alloxan-induced diabetes on the male sexual system of rats was demonstrated. Male sexual dysfunction is considered one of the major consequences of diabetes mellitus. Selon Tunna TS (2014) : on diabetes mellitus & its complications. - Bacterial infection : Plant part used: Thorn. Documented pharmacological profile: Streptomycine-like.
Selon Lakshmibal R (2018) : The microorganisms used in the study were Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Bacillus cereus & Candida albicans. Escherichia coli showed maximum zone of clearance in both the ethanolic & aqueous thorns extracts of M pudica at higher concentrations. Selon Mandal AK (2022) : The plant extract also demonstrated the antibacterial activity against both Gram-positive bacteria Staphylococcus aureus (15 mm) & Bacillus cereus (22 mm) & Gram-negative bacteria Escherichia coli (17 mm) & Klebsiella pneumoniae (16 mm) at 200 mg/mL concentration of extract. - Arthritis, osteoarthritis, rheumatism, oedema : Plant part used: Sheet. Documented pharmacological profile: Ibuprofene-like, Diclofénac-like.
Selon Chandrashekar DK (2012) : The presence of flavonoids in the ethanolic extract may be contributory to its analgesic & anti-inflammatory activity,. The ethanolic extract of the leaves of Mimosa pudica at the doses of 200 & 400mg/kg was tested for anti-inflammatory & analgesic activity. Selon Prasanna KBR (2009) : Prasanna KBR et al, Antiinflammatory & analgesic activity of aqueous extract of leaves of Mimosa pudica L.
