  1. Bacterial infection : Plant part used: Stem & Leaf. Documented pharmacological profile: Azithromycine-like, Cefexime-like, Streptomycine-like, Ciprofloxacine-like.
Selon Salman SM (2015) : The antimicrobial activities of ethanolic extract of MJ were investigated against four strains of bacteria, Salmonella typhi, Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa. The plants extract show high sensitivity against Pseudomonas aeruginosa & least sensitivity against Staphylococcus aureus. Selon Ali Saukat (2015) : The antimicrobial activities of ethanolic extract of MJ were investigated against four strains of bacteria, Salmonella typhi, Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
  2. Fungal infection : Plant part used: Stem & Leaf.
Selon Watthanachaiyingcharoen R (2010) : The proteins purified from this plant species show several biological activities including antibacterial, antiviral & immune stimulating properties. Selon Dipi Kumar (2015) : MAP exhibits wide range of biological activities, such as antiviral, anticancer & antibacterial. It is highly rigid and thermostable protein, & also reported to express & maintain its antiviral activity at high temperature.
  3. Pain, hyperalgesia : Plant part used: Sheet. Documented pharmacological profile: Diclofenac-like.
Selon Christiani IB (2008) : Conclusion Our results demonstrate that MJ presents antinociceptive activity in mice, which supports its folkloric use as an analgesic. Aim of the study :The present study examined the antinociceptive effect of Mirabilis jalapaextracts from leaves & stems in models of pain in mice. Selon SAILAJA P (2018) : The ethanolic extract administered by the oral route at a concentration of 200 and 400 mg/kg showed the significant dose dependent anti-inflammatory activity in carrageenan in and Formalin-induced paw edema in rats.

Further indications (including other extraction modes where applicable), dosages, precautions for use and full scientific references are available in the complete monograph.
