  1. Cancer : Plant part used: Seed. Documented pharmacological profile: Cisplatine-like.
Selon Kumar P (2016) : The present study was undertaken to investigate the antiproliferative action of isolated M1 (6,7-dimethoxy-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroisoquinoline-3-carboxylic acid) from Mucuna pruriens seeds using human hepatic carcinoma cell line (Huh-7 cells). M1 was active against Huh-7 cells that may be useful for future hepatic cancer treatment,. Selon RAJESHWAR Y (2005) : The results suggest that the methanol extract of MP seeds exhibits significant antitumor & antioxidant effects in EAC bearing mice,.
  2. Type II diabetes mellitus : Plant part used: Sheet. Documented pharmacological profile: Metformine-like.
Selon Reuben-Kalu IJ (2021) : Oral administration of ASEMP against the nicotinamide-streptozotocin-induced diabetes in the Wistar rats showed anti-hyperglycemic effect on the blood glucose level (94 ± 0.2 mg/dl ASEMP 400 mg/kg) when compared with the control group (92 ± 0.2 mg/dl Glibenclamide 5 mg/kg), (248 ± 0.3 mg/dl Diabetic control) & (90 ± 0.3 mg/dl Normal control). Significant reduction in creatinine level of the nicotinamide-streptozotocin-induced diabetic rats treated with ASEMP was also recorded. Selon Murugan M (2009) : The chloroform fraction was screened for its hypoglycemic & hypolipidemic activity, the result was comparable with the positive control Glibenclamide.
  3. Liver disorders : Plant part used: Sheet. Documented pharmacological profile: Silymarine-like.
Selon GENEVIA FATIMA MERCY V (2025) : Conclusion: MP derived Zn NPs exhibit potent biological activities, highlighting their potential as a natural therapeutic strategy for managing oxidative stress & inflammatory diseases. Results: The MP derived Zn NPs demonstrated significant antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, & anti-arthritic activities. Selon Obogwu MB (2014) : This study investigated the hepatoprotective & in vivo antioxidant activities of the hydroethanolic extract of Mucuna pruriens leaves in antitubercular & alcohol-induced hepatotoxicity assays in rats.

Further indications (including other extraction modes where applicable), dosages, precautions for use and full scientific references are available in the complete monograph.
