Selon De Souza C (2004) : The antidiabetic activity of aqueous, ethanolic & hexanic extracts of Bauhinia forficata was investigated in a model of alloxan-induced diabetes in rats. The alloxan-diabetic rats showed significant reductions in plasma glucose, triglycerides, total cholesterol & HDL-cholesterol after treatment with the extracts & Glibenclamide (used as standard) as compared to the diabetic controls. Selon Barreto-Silva FRM (2002) : Treatment of normal & alloxan-induced diabetic rats with BF decreased glucose levels, while this fraction was devoid of hypoglycemic effect in glucose-fed hyperglycemic normal rats. - Diabète mellitus de type I : Partie usitée : Feuille.
