1. Type II diabetes mellitus : Plant part used: Flower Petals. Documented pharmacological profile: Glibenclamide-like, Glimépiride-like.
   Selon Zhou T (2009) : This study evaluated flavonoids extracted from lotus (Nelumbo nuficera Gaertn) on reducing hyperglycemia & hyperlipidemia in alloxan-induced diabetic mice. So we conclude that the FLL should be evaluated as a candidate for future studies on diabetes mellitus,. Selon Zen Z (2017) : The effects of LLP on antioxidant enzyme activities & insulin resistance in pregnant rats with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) were investigated.
2. Cancer : Plant part used: Sheet.
   Selon Tong Y (2021) : Patients with estrogen receptor negative (ER−) breast cancer have poor prognosis due to high rates of metastasis. LAE inhibited significantly the breast cancer cells metastasis in mice models. Selon Athirathinam K (2015) : Quantitative analysis of compounds was performed using GC-MS in which 9-octadecadienoic acid & 2,2,4-Trimethyl-3-[3,8,12,16-tetramethyl-heptadeca-3, 7, 11,15-tetra-enyl]-cyclohexanol was found to be the potential compounds that may be responsible for producing anticancer activity in human breast cancer cell line (MCF-7).
3. Memory disorders, adjunctive treatment for Alzheimer’s disease : Plant part used: Seed. Documented pharmacological profile: Piracetam-like.
   Selon Alam Khan R (2019) : Group V served as reference group (piracetam 200 mg/kg). NN fruit have demonstrated ameliorating effects on memory without affecting muscle coordination. Selon Temviriyanuki P (2020) : Plant parts contain neuroprotective agents that interact with specific targets to inhibit Alzheimer's disease (AD).
