1. Cancer : Plant part used: Fruit.
   Selon Massocatto ALM (2021) : All extracts exhibited selective antiproliferative activity against human chronic myeloid leukemia cell lines (K562). The cytotoxic activity was assessed by an Artemia salina lethality test & the antiproliferative properties against seven human carcinoma cell lines. Selon Porto FGS (2022) : Reports on anti-inflammatory & anticancer properties of PA leaves open a research field to obtain pharmaceutical products.
2. Bacterial infection : Plant part used: Sheet. Documented pharmacological profile: Ampicilline-like, Imipenem-like, Vancomycine-like.
   Selon De Vicente NFP (2020) : Todos os extratos apresentaram atividade inibitória contra Staphylococcus aureus e Pseudomonas aeruginosa, sendo os extratos aquosos obtidos por refluxo e sonicação os que apresentaram maiores halos de inibição. Selon Souza L.F (2016) : The petroleum ether extract exhibited potent antibacterial activity against Escherichia coli, whereas the chloroform extract showed inhibitory activity against Bacillus cereus and Staphylococcus aureus. The phenolic content, antioxidant activity, & in vitro antimicrobial & antifungal activities were determined.
3. Adjuvant treatment for neurodegenerative disorders (Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, etc.) … : Plant part used: Sheet.
   Selon XU F (2023) : In vivo anti-inflammatory activity assays revealed that EEPA reduced the degree of foot & joint swelling, the splenic index & the serum concentrations of TNF-α & IL-6 in in adjuvant-induced arthritis rats (P<0.05). Selon CHEN Y (2022) : In vivo: The rat model was established by complete Freund's adjuvant (CFA).
