  1. Osteoarthritis, arthritis, rheumatism, oedema : Plant part used: Sheet. Documented pharmacological profile: Dexamethasone-like.
Selon Auteur (2020) : Mucilages, polyethylamnies, flavonol glycosides, betalains & some uncommon triterpenoids have been related to the improvement of human health against general inflammation, metabolic disorders & disturbances of the digestive system. Selon De Almeida M.E.F (2016) : The aim of the present study was to investigate the anti-obesity effects of Pereskia grandifolia leaf flour on rats fed a hypercaloric diet.
  2. Dyslipidaemia : Plant part used: Sheet. Documented pharmacological profile: Simvastatine-like.
Selon De Almeida M.E.F (2016) : Conclusion: This suggests that PGF induced weight loss & decreased hepatic lipid level & may be effective in treating obesity & related metabolic diseases. Several measurements were performed including body weight, food consumption, body mass index, Lee index, liver weight, liver & body moisture content, & body & hepatic lipid level. Selon Albuquerque E (2023) : Blood samples were collected to measure cholesterol, triglycerides, glucose, ALT, & AST levels.
  3. Bacterial infection : Plant part used: Sheet. Documented pharmacological profile: Cephalotine-like, Enrofloxacine-like, Gentamycine-like.
Selon VICENTE NFDP (2020) : All extracts presented inhibitory activity against Staphylococcus aureus & Pseudomonas aeruginosa, & aqueous extracts obtained by reflux & sonication being the largest inhibition halos. The characterization & quantification of the phenolic, antioxidant & antibacterial compounds of PG provide important information to increase the use of this plant, as an alternative source of compounds beneficial to health, & with potential antimicrobial activity,. Selon Turra AF (2007) : Antibacterial activity was not observed against Staphylococcus aureus (ATCC 25923), Escherichia coli (ATCC 25922), Bacillus subtilis (ATCC 6623) & Pseudomonas aeruginosa (ATCC 27853), & no antifungal activity against Candida albicans (ATCC 10231).

Further indications (including other extraction modes where applicable), dosages, precautions for use and full scientific references are available in the complete monograph.
