- Paracetamol-induced liver disorders, abnormal serum parameters : Plant part used: Root. Documented pharmacological profile: Silymarine-like.
Selon Somasundaram G (2017) : Male Wistar albino rats overdosed with paracetamol showed liver damage as specified by increased serum levels of aspartate aminotransferase, alanine aminotransferase, alkaline phosphatase, total bilrubin & decreased activities of total protein compared with the control group. Administration of silymarin & ethanolic root extract of PS (200mg/kg) with paracetamol reversed the elevated levels of aspartate aminotransferase, alanine aminotransferase, alkaline phosphatase, total bilrubin & restored the decreased total protein level. Selon Kyei S (2012) : Results: A rise in body temperature after lipopolysaccharide inoculation was found to be associated with corresponding high erythrocyte sédimentation rate & elevated C-reactive protein levels. - Depression, nervousness, anxiety, insomnia : Plant part used: Sheet. Documented pharmacological profile: Diazepam-like.
- Pain, hyperalgesia : Plant part used: Sheet. Documented pharmacological profile: Nalbuphine-like.
Selon Kumar HK (2011) : This study was intended to evaluate the analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antipyretic activity of Pistia stratiotes in experimental standard models i.e. On the analgesic property tail immersion & acetic acid induce writhing models, ethanolic extract significantly reduce the painful stimulus than petroleum ether extract. Selon Rahman MA (2011) : Rahman MA et al, Evaluation of Antinociceptive & Antidiarrheal Properties of Pistia stratiotes Leaves, J of Pharmacol & Toxicol, 2011 / DOI: 10.3923/jpt.2011,.
