- Cancer : Plant part used: Sheet. Documented pharmacological profile: Doxorubicine-like.
Selon Baradaran VR (s.d.) : Furthermore, the extract as ethnobotanical may be used as adjunctive anti-cancer therapy against glioblastoma multiforme. Glioma is considered the most common primary brain tumor & its malignant form is the most lethal adult brain tumor, that glioblastoma covers about 50 % of glioma tumors. Selon Rahimi V (s.d.) : Furthermore, the extract as ethnobotanical may be used as adjunctive anti-cancer therapy against glioblastoma multiforme. - Respiratory disorders : Plant part used: Sheet. Documented pharmacological profile: Dexaméthasone-like.
Selon Baradaran VR (2019) : Acute lung injury (ALI) & acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) are classified as two lung complications arising from various conditions such as sepsis, trauma & lung inflammation. Taken together, our findings reveal that PO extract dose-dependently displays anti-oxidant & anti-inflammatory activity against LPS-induced rat ALI, paving the way for rational use of PO as a protective agent against lung-related inflammatory disease. Selon Jalali J (2022) : This indicates that purslane might have a potential role in the management of metabolic syndrome through different underlying mechanisms including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-hyperlipidemic, anti-obesity, & antidiabetic. - Pain, hyperalgesia : Plant part used: Aerial parts. Documented pharmacological profile: Diclofenac-like.
Selon Chan K (2000) : Chan K et al, The analgesic & antiinflammatory effects of Portulaca oleracea L. Selon Jalali J (2023) : It has been shown that PO & its active constituents have considerable neurodegenerative, neuroprotective, & antinociceptive properties. Accordingly, our team classified & discussed the outcomes of some nervous system disorders comprising Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, depression, epilepsy, anxiety, psychosis, drug dependence, hypoxia, & pain; although, additional preclinical & clinical assessments are necessary to reinforce the beneficial effects of PO on nervous system disorders.
