- Dystonia, rigidity, bradykinesia : Plant part used: Rhizome. Documented pharmacological profile: Benzatropine (Cogentin*)-like.
- Cancer : Plant part used: Rhizome. Documented pharmacological profile: Cyclophosphamide-like.
Selon ZHANG X (2020) : Methods: The effects of RR on NSCLC were examined in Lewis lung carcinoma (LLC) tumor-bearing mice models. Lung cancer is the most common and mortal cancer worldwide. Selon ZHANG Y (2019) : Methods: Lewis’s lung cancer-bearing mice were randomly divided into normal saline group, 500 mg/kg RRL ethanol extract treatment group, & 10 mg/kg cyclophosphamide (CTX) treatment group. - Oxidative stress : Plant part used: Rhizome. Documented pharmacological profile: Acide ascorbique-like.
Selon KIM KJ (2021) : RR rhizome & its identified compounds protected neuronal PC-12 cells against oxidative stress & showed moderate acetylcholinesterase inhibition. We aimed to authenticate RR rhizome using the DNA barcoding technique & to quantify its main compounds, total phenolics, total flavonoids, & antioxidant capacity, & then to investigate their neuroprotective effects. Selon BABAVI SF (2016) : A plethora of studies report that RR has potent neuroprotective effects through the suppression of oxidative stress, neuroinflammation, & excitotoxicity in brain tissues & antagonism of oncogenic p21-activated kinase.
Further indications (including other extraction modes where applicable), dosages, precautions for use and full scientific references are available in the complete monograph.
