  1. Cancer : Plant part used: Sheet. Documented pharmacological profile: 5-Fluoro-Uracile-like.
Selon Rajesh P (2010) : Anticancer activity of ethanolic extract of leaves of Stevia Rebaudiana was determined in the rat by induced Ehrlich’s Ascites carcinoma. At doses of 100 & 300 mg/kg/i.p., the extract inhibited proliferation of cell count significantly (P<0.01) compared with 5-Fluoro Uracil (20 mg/kg/i. Selon Iatridis N (2040) : Consequently, our main objective was to present a concise, literature-based review of the biological actions of stevia derivatives in various tumor types, as studied in in vitro & in vivo models of the disease.
  2. Type II diabetes mellitus : Plant part used: Sheet. Documented pharmacological profile: Glibenclamide-like. Mentioned synergistic association: Andrographis paniculata-feuille.
Selon KHAKPAI F (2023) : Type II diabetes mellitus is a group of metabolic disorders considered chronic hyperglycemia resulting from deficits in insulin secretion or insulin function. Therefore, induction of diabetes in rats produced hyperglycemia, anxiogenic effect, & memory impairment & these responses were reversed by drug treatment. Selon PETRUS RISKY P (2017) : This study was conducted to determine the optimal effectiveness of ethanol extract combination of stevia leaves & bitter leaves of oxidative stress in diabetic Mellitus rats compared in single form.
  3. Periodontitis, dental plaque, tooth decay : Plant part used: Sheet. Documented pharmacological profile: Chlorhexidine-like.
Selon Ajagannanavar SL (2014) : rebaudiana extract against Streptococcus mutans & Lactobacillus acidophilus in comparison to chlorhexidine. Mean zone of inhibition of the chlorhexidine against S mutans & L acidophilus at 48 hours was 20.5 & 13.2 respectively. Selon Lemus-Mondaca R (2012) : Stevia extracts, besides having therapeutic properties, contain a high level of sweetening compounds, known as steviol glycosides, which are thought to possess antioxidant, antimicrobial & antifungal activity.

Further indications (including other extraction modes where applicable), dosages, precautions for use and full scientific references are available in the complete monograph.
