  1. Bacterial infection : Plant part used: Sheet. Documented pharmacological profile: Ciprofloxacine-like.
Selon KADER A (2022) : samarangense stem bark exhibited largest zone of inhibition to Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli & Salmonella typhi. This study investigates the antimicrobial & cytotoxic activities of three different solvent extracts of S. Selon Sekar M (2017) : The antibacterial activity of the extract & cream in different concentrations were investigated using two gram-positive bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus & Bacillus cereus) two gram-negative bacteria (Escherichia coli & Salmonella enterica) through disc diffusion method.
  2. Oral infection, tooth decay, dental plaque : Plant part used: Fruit. Documented pharmacological profile: Chlorhexidine-like.
Selon SULTHANA DSG (2024) : The objective of this study was to evaluate the antibacterial efficacy of wax apple (Syzygium samarangense) fruit extracts (aqueous & ethanol) against Porphyromonas gingivalis, Fusobacterium nucleatum, & Aggregatibacter actinomycetemcomitans. 6 µg/ml & ethanolic extract at 0.4 µg/ml) exhibited antibacterial effect, whereas A.A was completely resistant to both extracts at all the concentrations. Selon Madhavi M (2015) : Antimicrobial activity study reveals that gram positive bacterial strains are more sensitive than the gram negative bacteria to all the three types of root extracts.
  3. Haemanthus contortus helminthiasis : Plant part used: Pest control and veterinary products. Documented pharmacological profile: Albendazole-like.
Selon Gayen PR (2018) : In the present study the ethanolic extract of bark of SS showed dose dependent anthelmintic activities. The extract revealed concentration dependent paralysis & death time, which were compared with albendazole. Selon Hossain, R (2020) : This research investigated pharmacological properties mainly the anti-inflammatory, anthelmintic, thrombolytic & anxiolytic potential of methanol extract of Syzygium samarangense (MESS) var.

Further indications (including other extraction modes where applicable), dosages, precautions for use and full scientific references are available in the complete monograph.
