Note : les extraits de références scientifiques sont conservés dans leur langue d’origine (le plus souvent l’anglais), sans traduction, afin de respecter le texte source des publications.

  1. Dyslipidémie : Partie usitée : Tubercule. Profil pharmacologique documenté : Gemfibrozil-like.
Selon DEY YN (2016) : It significantly (p<0.001) elevated lactate dehydrogenase & cytokines (TNF-α and IL-6) levels in serum & increased myeloperoxidase activity & lipid peroxidation in ano-rectal tissue along with marked histological damage as compared to normal rats. Selon Bais SS (2013) : companulatus such as methanol, ethanol, acetone (70%) & hydro-alcohol (1:1) used to assess catalase (CAT), superoxide dismutase (SOD), glutathione peroxidase (GPx), glutathione (GSH)&d lipid peroxidation (LPO) levels of human erythrocytes & leucocytes.
  2. Cancer : Partie usitée : Tubercule. Profil pharmacologique documenté : Vincristine-like.
Selon Pavan Kumar E (2011) : The present investigation was carried out to investigate the anti-tumor activity, Antioxidant activity of the ethanolic extract of Amorphophallus Paeonifolius tubers against 7,12dimethyl benz (a) anthracene (DMBA) induced mammary tumour in rats. The Pharmacognostic & Phytochemical studies over AP were studied first & the antioxidant activity of the same were studied In-vitro & In-vivo methods finally the plant extract was evaluated for mammary tumour activity by chemical induced tumour. The results shows total Flavanoids compound in Ethanolic tuber extract of AP was found to be 8.8 g/100g calculated as Quercetin equivalent, effect of Ethanolic extract on RBC, WBC, Hb & Neutrophils as a-P< 0.001,b-P<0.01,c-P<0.05, ns-non significant, Effect of AP-extract on tumor latency & tumour burden were found as extremely significant at P<0.001. It was concluded that ethanolic extract of AP has shown significant antitumor & antioxidant effect in animals. Selon Shastry RA (2021) : The resultsof cytotoxicity studies of aqueous extract of corm of AP revealed significant cytotoxic properties as compared to alcoholic extract & control group against breast carcinoma, prostate carcinoma, carcinoma of cervical cell lines in all the tested in vitro anti-cancer models with CTC50 value > 500 μg/mL.
  3. Troubles hépatiques : Partie usitée : Tubercule. Profil pharmacologique documenté : Silymarine-like.
Selon Jain S (2009) : In the present study, the hepatoprotective activity of ethanolic & aqueous extracts of Amorphophallus campanulatus (Roxb.) tubers were evaluated against carbon tetrachloride (CCl4) induced hepatic damage in rats. The substantially elevated serum enzymatic levels were significantly restored towards normalization by the extracts. Selon Basu S (2013) : The elevated serum enzymatic levels of AST, ALT, ALP & total protein were significantly restored towards normal by pre‐treatment with ethanolic extract of AC (p<0.001).However, no significant alteration in the liver marker enzymes a&the antioxidant markers in liver tissue was observed in the only extract treated groups when compared to control, indicating their non-toxic nature.

D’autres indications (y compris d’autres modes d’extraction le cas échéant), posologies, précautions d’emploi et le détail des références scientifiques sont disponibles dans la fiche monographique complète.
