1. Diabète mellitus de type II : Partie usitée : Feuille. Profil pharmacologique documenté : Glibenclamide-like.
   Selon Parthasarathy R (2009) : The ethanolic extract of the plant bark (TPBE) & leaf (TPLE) were evaluated for its effect on blood sugar, against the streptozotocin (STZ)–induced diabetic rats & compared it with standard drug glibenclamide. The result of this experimental study indicates that both the ethanolic extract posses’ anti-diabetic effect against STZ induced diabetic rats a&also showed the possible mechanism due to inhibition of generation of free radical,. Selon Sathyanarayana T (2004) : Sathyanarayana T et al, Antihyperglycemic & Hypoglycemic effect of Thespesia populnea fruit in normal & alloxan-induced diabetes in rabbits.
2. Cancer : Partie usitée : Écorce de tronc.
   Selon DHANARASU (2010) : The tumor incidence, tumor volume and tumor burden that occurred in the hamster buccal pouch were determined. Oral squamous cell carcinoma had developed in Syrian golden hamsters by exposing the buccal mucosa to 0.5 % DMBA in liquid paraffin thrice a week for 14 weeks. Selon Solomon S (s.d.) : The ethanolic extract of flowers of Thespesia populnea was tested for its anti cancer activity against liver cancer HePG2 cell line by MTT assay.
3. Douleur, hyperalgie : Partie usitée : Écorce de tronc.
   Selon Vasudevan M (2007) : The ethanolic extract of Thespesia populnea bark (TPE) was investigated for anti-inflammatory & analgesic activity at the doses (p.o.) of 100, 200 & 400 mg/kg body weight. The acetic acid-induced writhing response & formalin-induced paw licking time in the early & late phases of mice were used to assess analgesic activity. Selon AMOL SS (2011) : In tail immersion method also extracts and fractions showed significant analgesic activity.
