  1. Bacterial infection : Plant part used: Whole plant. Documented pharmacological profile: Streptomycine-like.
Selon Ferrante C (2020) : In this context, the aim of the present study was to explore the efficacy of extracts from Solidago virga-aurea, Ononis spinosa, Peumus boldus, Epilobium angustifolium, & Phyllanthus niruri against bacterial (Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus cereus) and fungi strains (Candida albicans; C. The phytochemical analysis highlighted that rutin levels could be crucial for explaining the highest antibacterial activity of P. Selon Shoeb M (2022) : niruri was tested against two Gram negative (Escherichia coli, Salmonella typhi) & two Gram positive (Bacillus subtilis & Staphylococcus aureus) bacteria following agar diffusion method.
  2. Cancer : Plant part used: Whole plant. Documented pharmacological profile: Paclitaxel-like.
Selon Jia L (2013) : The aim of the present study is to investigate the anticancer properties of Corilagin in ovarian cancer cells. Corilagin induced cell cycle arrest at the G2/M stage & enhanced apoptosis in ovarian cancer cells. Selon Raja W (2019) : The results thus suggest that PN extract exhibits significant anti-tumor activity, which supports the traditional medicinal utilization of this plant.
  3. Type II diabetes mellitus : Plant part used: Aerial parts. Documented pharmacological profile: Metformine-like.
Selon Okoli CO (2010) : The antidiabetic potentials of methanol extract (ME) of aerial parts of Phyllanthus niruri L (Euphorbiaceae) was evaluated in normal and alloxan diabetic rats. Results suggest that extract of aerial parts of PN has great potentials as anti-diabetic remedy,. Selon Giribabu N (2014) : Aqueous extract of Phyllanthus niruri leaves displays in vitro antioxidant activity & prevents the elevation of oxidative stress in the kidney of streptozotocin- induced diabetic male rats.

Further indications (including other extraction modes where applicable), dosages, precautions for use and full scientific references are available in the complete monograph.
