   Selon Okoli CO (2010) : The antidiabetic potentials of methanol extract (ME) of aerial parts of Phyllanthus niruri L (Euphorbiaceae) was evaluated in normal and alloxan diabetic rats. Results suggest that extract of aerial parts of PN has great potentials as anti-diabetic remedy,. Selon Giribabu N (2014) : Aqueous extract of Phyllanthus niruri leaves displays in vitro antioxidant activity & prevents the elevation of oxidative stress in the kidney of streptozotocin- induced diabetic male rats.
