  1. Type II diabetes mellitus : Plant part used: above-ground parts. Documented pharmacological profile: Metformine-like. Mentioned synergistic association: Gliclazide.
According to Lindawati NY (2014): Test animals are of type 2 diabetes mellitus insulin-resistance was induced by fructose (1,8 g/kg BW) & fat-rich food (95% pellet, 5% egg yolks & 5 mL/ 200 g BW lard) for 70 days. Determination of insulin resistance used 3 parameters such as blood glucose levels, lipid levels (triglycerides, LDL, cholesterol, & HDL), & hypoglycemic tests with Glibenclamide compared to normal controls animals. According to PETRUS RISKY P (2017): This study was conducted to determine the optimal effectiveness of ethanol extract combination of stevia leaves & bitter leaves of oxidative stress in diabetic Mellitus rats compared in single form.
  2. Cancer : Plant part used: sheet. Documented pharmacological profile: Doxorubicine-like.
According to MA R (2021): Andrographis, which is a generally unharmful botanical compound, has gained increasing interest for its anticancer effects in multiple malignancies via the regulation of cancer progression-associated signaling pathways. The overall prognosis of advanced/metastatic gastric cancer (GC) remains poor despite the development of pharmacotherapy. According to RAJESHKUMAR S (2015): In this report, we studied the Invitro anticancer properties of Andrographis paniculata leaves against neuroblastoma (IMR-32) & human colon (HT-29) cancer cell line.
  3. Bacterial infection : Plant part used: above-ground parts. Documented pharmacological profile: Gentamycine-like.
According to RAJESWARI M (2017): The ethanolic extract shown maximum inhibitory activity against Escherichia coli (21 mm), Klebsiella pneumonia (23 mm), Pseudomonas aeruginosa (19 mm) & Staphylococcus aureus (26 mm) but plant extract was failed to show the inhibitory activity against Proteus mirabilis. Escherichia coli 21(44.68%), Klebsiella pneumonia 16(34.04%), Pseudomonas aeruginosa 5(10.63%), Proteus mirabilis 3(6.38%) & S aureus 2(4.25%). According to XIE H (2021): And AGE-RAGE signaling pathway in diabetic complications (hsa04933), Kaposi sarcoma-associated herpesvirus infection (hsa05167), Human cytomegalovirus infection (hsa05163), etc.

Further indications (including other extraction modes where applicable), dosages, precautions for use and full scientific references are available in the complete monograph.
