    According to Rashid S (1990): Rashid S et al Cardiovascular effects of Bacopa monnieri (L.) Pennel extract in Rabbits. According to Stough CK (2012): A randomized controlled trial investigating the effect of Pycnogenol & Bacopa CDRI08 herbal medicines on cognitive, cardiovascular & Biochemical functioning in cognitively healthy elderly people: The Australian Res Council Longevity Intervention Study Protocol.
  2. Parkinson's disease : Plant part used: Whole plant. Documented pharmacological profile: Levodopa-like. Mentioned synergistic association: association synergique avec MUCUNA PRURIENS-(L)-DC (Semence).
    According to Gunduluru Swathi (2014): Parkinson’s disease (PD) is the second most neurodegenerative disorder. The BM may provide a Platform for future drug discoveries & novel treatment strategies in PD & can act as Antiparkinsonian agent. According to Kiani AK (2020): Neurological disorders like Parkinson disease & Alzheimer disease, spinal cord injury & stroke have some recurrent characteristics such as abnormal protein aggregation, oxidative stress induction, apoptosis, excitotoxicity, perturbation of intracellular Ca2+ homeostasis & inflammation.
  3. Convulsion, epilepsy : Plant part used: Sheet. Documented pharmacological profile: Diazepam-like.
    According to Kaushik Darpan (2009): The ethanolic extract of leaves produced significant anticonvulsant activity for all the different models studied. The ethanolic extract of Bacopa monniera was tested for anticonvulsant activity in albino rats, using different convulsive models.
