  1. Bacterial infection : Plant part used: Sheet. Documented pharmacological profile: Gentamycine-like.
According to Jeeva K. (2014): Furthermore the synthesized AgNPs were found to show potential antimicrobial activity against multidrug resistant Gram-positive (Escherichia coli & Pseudomonas aeruginosa) & Gram-negative (Klebsiella pneumoniae, & Staphylococcus aureus) clinically isolated human pathogens. According to Janbandhu SJ (2022): Results: Antibacterial activity against Escherichia coli & Staphylococcus aureus &potential antioxidant characteristics were observed in ethanol extracts of Cassia bonducella, Caesalpinia coriaria, Cassia alata, Brownea coccinea, Cassia siamea, Cassia javanica, Amherstia nobilis, & Bauhinia acuminata.
  2. Adjuvant treatment for autoimmune diseases : Plant part used: Bark. Documented pharmacological profile: Méthotrexate-like.
  3. Oxidative stress : Plant part used: Sheet. Documented pharmacological profile: Acide ascorbique-like.
According to Janbandhu SJ (2022): Conclusion: Traditional uses of these plants to treat conditions related to pathogenic microorganisms & oxidative stress have been confirmed by their promising antibacterial and antioxidant capabilities, which have been used in a wide variety of herbal medicines. Results: Antibacterial activity against Escherichia coli & Staphylococcus aureus &potential antioxidant characteristics were observed in ethanol extracts of Cassia bonducella, Caesalpinia coriaria, Cassia alata, Brownea coccinea, Cassia siamea, Cassia javanica, Amherstia nobilis, & Bauhinia acuminata. According to Arini W (2018): The methanol & ethyl acetate extracts have good antioxidant activity.
