- Thrombosis, hypercoagulation : Plant part used: Root. Documented pharmacological profile: Héparine-like.
According to NGUYEN AVA (2023): Based on previously reported antithrombotic effect of CI,, this study aimed to isolate pure compounds from its hexane fraction, & evaluate antiplatelet & anticoagulant activity of isolated compounds. No anticoagulant activity was observed for 1, 3, 4, 5 & 7. - Memory impairment : Plant part used: Root. Documented pharmacological profile: DONEZEPIL-like.
According to OJHA PS (2022): Initially, methanolic extract of CIA, hydroalcoholic extract of CIR, & their combination of CIA + CIR were screened for Invitro antioxidant activity via 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) & nitric oxide (NO) assays, acetylcholinesterase (AChE) inhibitory assay & were also screened for their memory enhancing activity by in-vivo models such as elevated plus maze (EPM), Morris’s water maze (MWM), cooks pole climb (CPC), Actophotometer, novel object recognition (NOR), & T-maze. Aluminium chloride (AlCl3) (17 mg/kg/day p.o.) for 21 days, was used as an Alzheimer’s disease inducing agent & Donepezil (AChE inhibitor) as a standard treatment agent. - Oxidative stress : Plant part used: Root. Documented pharmacological profile: Acide ascorbique-like.
According to Ifandari (2018): The Group of compounds most have activity as antioxidant & anticancer. According to Mahesh KN (2014): These experimental results reveals that these extracts can be utilized in future as therapeutic agent against free radical induced oxidative stress,. The cold methanol plant extracts were screened for the antioxidant activity evaluating their 2,2-diphenyl-1-picryl-hydrazyl (DPPH) radical in scavenging ability.
