  1. Cancer : Plant part used: Sheet. Documented pharmacological profile: Taxus baccata-like, CISPLATINE-like.
    According to Shokrzadeh M (2010): nigrum extract was significantly higher than the extract of Taxus baccata & Cisplatin, herbal & chemical control positive anticancer compounds, respectively, on all four cell lines (P < 0.05). nigrum was studied on normal [Chinese hamster ovarian cells (CHO) & rat fibroblast] & cancer (HepG2 & CT26) cell lines. According to Makni M (2008): Hypolipidemic & hepatoprotective effects of flax & pumpkin seed mixture rich in ω-3 & ω-6 fatty acids in hypercholesterolemic rats.
  2. Osteoarthritis, arthritis, rheumatism, oedema : Plant part used: Fruit.
    According to Agrawal K (2022): Several studies describes the medicinal properties such as anti-diabetic, cardioprotective, anti- depressive, antioxidant, anti-carcinogenic, anti-inflammatory of Pumkin seeds & seed oil. According to Das ML (2015): oleifera is very important for medicinal value such as Hepatoprotective, anti-inflammatory, hysteria, lower of serum cholesterol, phospholipid, Triglyceride etc.
  3. Wound, incision, injury : Plant part used: Fruit.
    According to Bardaa S (2016): High content of these bioactive components were in agreement with an efficient wound healing by the mean of an in vivo study. Methods :The composition & content of certain bioactive constituents of the cold pressed oil obtained from CP seeds were analyzed & studied for their wound healing properties. According to Almohaimeed HM (2022): (CP) ethanolic extract in prompting excisional wound healing in rats exposed to chronic stress, & to explain how it works.
