According to Almeida ER (2009): These results indicate an anxiolytic & anticonvulsant-like action from C. The aim of the present study is to demonstrate the anxiolytic & anticonvulsant effects of a hydroalcoholic extract obtained from the aerial parts of Cissus sycoides L. - Inflammatory conditions : Plant part used: Sheet.
According to Viana GSB (2004): In the present work, we studied the hypoglycemic & anti-lipemic effects of the aqueous extract prepared from fresh leaves of the plant (AECS), in the model of alloxan-induced diabetes in rats. According to Bezerra FP (2016): The anti-inflammatory effect was evaluated by oral administration of HECS against acute model of edema induced by xylene, & the mechanisms of action were analysed by involvement of arachidonic acid (AA) & prostaglandin E₂ (PGE₂). Our data demonstrate that the mechanism of action involved in the anti-inflammatory effect of HECS is related to PGE₂.
Further indications (including other extraction modes where applicable), dosages, precautions for use and full scientific references are available in the complete monograph.
