  1. Bacterial infection : Plant part used: Sheet. Documented pharmacological profile: Ciprofloxacine-like.
    According to Prusty AK (2014): The Leave extract of CM showed significant antibacterial activity against Escherichia hermanii, staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus subtilis & Pseudomonas aeruginosa,. on Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus subtilis, Escherichia hermanii & Pseudomonas aeruginosa. According to Tao N (2010): The antimicrobial activity of the carotenoid extract against Bacillus subtilis, Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Aspergillus niger, Aspergillus flavus, Penicillium chrysogenum, Rhizopus oryzae [Rhizopus arrhizus] & Saccharomyces cerevisiae was also elucidated.
  2. Metabolic syndrome : Plant part used: Sheet. Documented pharmacological profile: Orlistat-like.
    According to Kundusen S (2011): SGOT, SGPT & ALP were estimated. Serum biochemical parameters viz. According to Dinesh SS (2016): Serum parameters such as TG, TC, HDL, LDL, VLDL, SGOT, SGPT were also evaluated.
  3. Cancer : Plant part used: Fruit. Documented pharmacological profile: Bevacizumab-like, Avastin-like.
    According to Sen KS (2011): The antitumor activity of methanol extract of CM leaves (MECM) was evaluated against Ehrlich Ascites Carcinoma (EAC) cell line in Swiss albino mice. The objective of present study is to evaluate the methanol extract of Citrus maxima leaves for its antitumor activity against Ehrlich’s Ascites Carcinoma cell in Swiss albino mice. According to Kundusen S (2011): The antitumor activity of methanol extract of Citrus maxima leaves (MECM) was evaluated against Ehrlich Ascites Carcinoma (EAC) cell line in Swiss albino mice.
