- Cancer : Plant part used: Sheet.
According to Song L (2022): This article reviews the pharmacology of CRP & the mechanism of the action of flavonoids, the key components of CRP, against cancers including breast cancer, lung cancer, prostate cancer, hepatic carcinoma, gastric cancer, colorectal cancer, esophageal cancer, cervical cancer, bladder cancer & other cancers with a high diagnosis rate. It is often used to treat cough & indigestion, but in recent years, it has been found to have multi-faceted anti-cancer effects. According to Gao S (2023): These flavonoids exhibit various therapeutic effects on liver injury, including anti-oxidative stress, anti-cytotoxicity, anti-inflammatory, anti-fibrosis, & anti-tumor mechanisms. - Osteoarthritis, arthritis, rheumatism, oedema : Plant part used: Fruit. Documented pharmacological profile: Diclofénac-like.
According to Hsieh CY (2023): Aim of the study :The aim of this study is to evaluate the anti-inflammatory & anti-osteoarthritis activity of JMS extracts with the use of different cell lines (RAW 264.7 cells, SW1353 cells & primary cultured rat chondrocytes). MIA-induced rat animal models were used to assess the anti-osteoarthritis activity of the extract. According to Hossain J (2025): This research aimed to investigate the phytochemicals & potential bioactivities, such as antimicrobial, thrombolytic, anti-inflammatory, analgesic, & antidiarrheal properties of commonly available mandarin orange (Citrus reticulata Blanco) peel through experimental & computational techniques. - Pain, hyperalgesia : Plant part used: Fruit. Documented pharmacological profile: Diclofénac-like.
According to Hossain J (2025): The investigated 3 doses of the methanolic extracts (100, 200, and 400 mg/kg body weight) exerted statistically significant in vivo central analgesic effects in a tail-flicking method in a time-dependent manner. reticulata is a rich source of polymethoxyflavones, demonstrating potential efficacy against microbial infections, thrombosis, inflammation, pain, and diarrhea. According to Singh YD (2022): Presence of this compound in Khasi Mandarin display numerous pharmacological activities like antimicrobial, antioxidant, anticancer, antidiabetic, anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antibacterial, anti-virus, liver protection & pesticidal.
