    According to Prahalad U (2007): The antimicrobial activity of CGEE was studied against Gram positive (Staphylococcus aureus) & Gram-Negative Bacteria (Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa & Klebsiella pneumoniae) compared to Erythromycin & tetracycline. According to Manimegalai S (2014): In view of the above, we designed the study to evaluate the antioxidant potential & antibacterial effect of Couroupita guianensis.
  2. Skin conditions : Plant part used: Fruit. Documented pharmacological profile: Nitrofurazone-like.
    According to Prahalad U (2007): The present study provides a scientific rationale for the traditional use of CG in the management of skin diseases such as sores, boils & itching. The antimicrobial activity of CGEE was studied against Gram positive (Staphylococcus aureus) & Gram-Negative Bacteria (Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa & Klebsiella pneumoniae) compared to Erythromycin & tetracycline. According to Manimegalai S (2014): In view of the above, we designed the study to evaluate the antioxidant potential & antibacterial effect of Couroupita guianensis.
  3. Cancer : Plant part used: Flower. Documented pharmacological profile: Tamoxifène-like.
    According to Swapna-Atha S (2014): During the last few decades, it has been observed that there are numerous reports on anti-inflammatory activity, anti- ulcer activity, anticancer activity, anti-oxidant activity, antihelmintic activity of this plant. According to Premanathan M (2012): Premanathan M et al, Antioxidant & anticancer activities of isatin (1H-indole-2,3-dione), isolated from the flowers of Couroupita guianensis Aubl, Indian J Med Res.
