According to Shafek RE (2015): Its cytotoxic activity against breast carcinoma cell line (MCF7) showed IC50 19.4 μg/ml compared with the standard used (Cisplatin), which its IC50 is 5.48μg/ml. According to CAO S (2009): Compounds 1 and 2 showed antiproliferative activity against the A2780 human ovarian cancer cell line with IC50 values of 0.79 and 0.70 μM, respectively. This extract, designated MG 3397, showed reproductible cytotoxicity to the A2780 ovarian cancer cell line, with an IC50 value of 6.0 μg/mL. - Type II diabetes mellitus : Plant part used: Sheet. According to Akhtar MS (2011): Antidiabetic folkloric use of Dodonaea (D.) viscosa leaves was evaluated in normal and alloxan-diabetic rabbits. In addition, synergistic hypoglycemic effects of oral intake of A-M extract (representing 500 mg/kg) along with different doses of insulin were studied in diabetic rabbits.
