  1. Cancer : Plant part used: Root.
According to Venkatesh (2021): The in-vivo antitumor activity was evaluated against DAL tumour bearing mice by liquid tumour models. The present study was designed to investigate the anti-tumor activity of ethanolic leaves extract of Epipremnum aureum & evaluated by in-vitro & in-vivo experimental models. According to Ali AE (2018): The in vitro cytotoxicity of different concentrations of EA acetone root extract was assayed against human liver cancer cell line (HEPG-2) & found that the most effective concentration was at 50 μg/ml & the IC50 value was 36.7 μg/ml.
  2. Anxiety, nervousness : Plant part used: Sheet. Documented pharmacological profile: Diazépam-like.
  3. Bacterial infection : Plant part used: Root.
According to Ali AE (2018): Antimicrobial activity was carried out against Gram negative bacterium (Escherichia coli), Gram positive bacterium (Staphylococcus aureus), filamentous fungus (Aspergillus flavus) & yeast (Candida albicans). The aim of this study is to determine the antimicrobial activity & cytotoxicity of aqueous, ethanolic & acetone extracts of different plant parts of Epipremnum aureum (leaves blades, petioles, stems & roots). According to Meshram A (2014): The antimicrobial activity of roots & leaf extracts of EA against many bacterial strains have been included.

Further indications (including other extraction modes where applicable), dosages, precautions for use and full scientific references are available in the complete monograph.
