- Depression : Plant part used: Fruit. Documented pharmacological profile: kétamine-like. Mentioned synergistic association: CYPERUS ROTUNDUS-L, Ligustrum sp, Actralocydes lancea, Massa fermentata.
Selon Tao W (2014) : Optimization of supercritical fluid extraction of oil from the Gardenia jasminoides & its antidepressant activity, Molecules, 19 (2014) :19350-60 CrossRefGoogle Scholar. Selon Chen L (2020) : Various pharmacological properties, such as a beneficial effect on the nervous, cardiovascular & digestive systems, hepatoprotective activity, antidepressant activity, & anti-inflammatory activity, were also validated in vitro & in vivo. - Gastritis, peptic ulcer : Plant part used: Fruit. Documented pharmacological profile: Cimétidine-like.
Selon Lee JH (2009) : In this study we investigated the effects of Gardenia jasminoides Ellis (GJE) extract & its constituents, such as ursolic acid & genipin, on gastritis in rats & the growth of human gastric cancer cells. The genipin & ursolic acid inhibited significant HCl/ethanol-induced gastric lesions. Selon Wang M (2019) : In this study we investigated the effects of Gardenia jasminoides Ellis (GJE) extract & its constituents, such as ursolic acid & genipin, on gastritis in rats & the growth of human gastric cancer cells. - Osteoarthritis, arthritis, rheumatism, oedema : Plant part used: Fruit. Documented pharmacological profile: Aspirine-like, Indometacine-like.
Selon Nam K.N (2010) : Genipin has recently been reported to have diverse pharmacological functions, such as antimicrobial, antitumor, and anti-inflammatory effects. Furthermore, genipin effectively inhibited microglial activation in a mouse model of brain inflammation. Selon Fu Y (2012) : These results suggest that geniposide exerts an anti-inflammatory property by down-regulating the expression of TLR4 up-regulated by LPS.
