Note: scientific reference excerpts are kept in their original language (most often English), without translation, to respect the source text of publications.

  1. Bacterial infection : Plant part used: sheet. Documented pharmacological profile: Gentamycine-like.
Selon Sousa Abreu PO (2023) : Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus, MRSA & MLSB Staphylococcus hominis & Staphylococcus haemolyticus & Staphylococcus species were used as infective & biofilm-forming microorganisms. The ethanolic extract of GA did not show optimal disinfectant action in the simulated critical environment; however, considering the reported antimicrobial action of this extract, more studies should be considered to find the best formula to improve this extract's disinfectant efficacy. Selon Gabas G (2015) : The ethanolic extract was tested against clinical isolates of Staphylococcus intermedius & Pseudomonas aeruginosa which were obtained from dogs presenting dermatitis.
  2. Pheochromocytoma : Plant part used: Fruit.
  3. Equine viral infection : Plant part used: Pest control and veterinary products. Documented pharmacological profile: Foscarnet-like.
Selon Hurtado-Colmenares L (2024) : The extracted GA oil shows a high phenolic content & remarkable nonhemolytic, antioxidant, & antimicrobial activity. Selon Lopez-Lopez D (2023) : Cervical cancer is a malignant neoplastic disease, mainly associated to HPV infection, with high mortality rates.

Further indications (including other extraction modes where applicable), dosages, precautions for use and full scientific references are available in the complete monograph.
