  1. Cancer : Plant part used: Whole plant. Documented pharmacological profile: Antimycine-A3-like, Cis-Platinum-like.
Selon Andriyani R (2011) : Some fractions of Hedyotis corymbosa extract has been analyzed using Sulforhodamine B method with UV wavelength 515 nm against T47D cell line, a human breast cancer. Ethanolic extract, itself has IC50 of 61.57 µg/ml, whereas IC50 value of Cis-Platinum is 9.63 µg/ml. Selon Liang Z (2008) : The results showed almost no antiproliferative effect of the methanol extracts from O.
  2. High blood pressure, fluid retention, oedema : Plant part used: Whole plant. Documented pharmacological profile: Chlorothiazide-like.
Selon Ahmad R (1953) : Ahmad R et al, Antioxidant, radical-scavenging, antiinflammatory, cytotoxic & antibacterial activities of methanolic extract of some Hedyotis species. Selon Endrini S (2015) : In this study, soursop & Pearl grass combined to obtain extracts that have anticancer effects & anti-inflammatory effects, as most patients with cancer, particularly advanced breast cancer often experience inflammation. In the other hand, Pearl grass (Hedyotis corymbosa has long been used traditionally as an anti-inflammatory.
  3. Hepatitis, cirrhosis, normalisation of transaminases (SGOT and SGPT), poisoning : Plant part used: Whole plant. Documented pharmacological profile: Liv-52-like.
Selon Sadasivam S (2006) : The methanolic extract of the plant produced significant hepatoprotective effects as evidenced by decreased serum enzyme activities, SGPT, SGOT, SAKP and serum bilirubin & an almost normal histological architecture of the liver, in treated groups, compared to the controls. In the present study, the hepatoprotective effect of the methanolic extract of the whole plant of Hedyotis corymbosa against paracetamol overdose-induced liver damage in Wistar rats was studied. Selon Rathi MA (2009) : The results of this study strongly indicate that Hedyotis corymbosa have potent hepatoprotective action against perchloroethylene induced hepatic damage in rats,.

Further indications (including other extraction modes where applicable), dosages, precautions for use and full scientific references are available in the complete monograph.
