  1. Bacterial infection : Plant part used: Flower Chalice. Documented pharmacological profile: Cotrimoxazole-like.
Selon Estri (2015) : A variety of traditional medicine is believed to cure diarrhoea & the biggest component of flavonoid, saponin, & tanin can pursue the growth of bacteria like Escherichia coli that cause the diarrhea infection. Objective: To know zone & concentration HS flower to show effect zone bacteria Escherichia coli. Selon Fullerton M (2011) : Determination of antimicrobial activity of sorrel (Hibiscus sabdariffa) on Escherichia coli O157:H7 isolated from food, veterinary, & clinical samples.
  2. Diarrhoea : Plant part used: Flower Chalice. Documented pharmacological profile: Lopéramide-like.
Selon Titilayo O (2008) : The death of the animals was preceded by a severe loss in weight, accompanied with diarrhoea in animals on the 2000 mg/kg dose. Selon Estri (2015) : A variety of traditional medicine is believed to cure diarrhoea & the biggest component of flavonoid, saponin, & tanin can pursue the growth of bacteria like Escherichia coli that cause the diarrhea infection.
  3. Oxidative stress : Plant part used: Sheet. Documented pharmacological profile: Acide ascorbique-like.
Selon Tseng TH (1997) : Furthermore, antioxidant bioactivities of these crude extracts were investigated using a model of tert-butyl hydroperoxide (t-BHP)-induced oxidative damage in rat primary hepatocytes. In the preliminary studies, antioxidant potential of three fractions of the ethanol crude extract (HS-C: chloroform-soluble fraction; HS-E: ethyl acetate soluble fraction; HS-R: residual fraction) obtained from the dried flowers of HS. Selon Akram HM (2024) : Conclusion: HS contains antioxidant & HSCC-cytotoxic properties.
