  1. Bacterial infection : Plant part used: Root.
Selon To ‘Bungan N (2022) : The pharmacological study of HC showed that this plant has the potential to be developed as an antioxidant, antibacterial, antiviral & anticancer. Selon Sumitha V (2021) : The present study focuses on the primary phytochemical analysis & evaluation of the antimicrobial activity of methanolic leaf extract of HC against bacterial strains such as Bacillus subtilis, Staphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Escherichia coli & fungal strains viz., Candida albicans, Aspergillus niger & Penicillium chrysogenum by agar well diffusion method. Moreover, the phytochemical screening revealed the presence of potential phytoconstituents which may account for the antibacterial activity of the promising medicinal herb, Hyptis capitata.
  2. Fungal infection : Plant part used: Root.
The methanolic leaf extract failed to display activity against the selected fungal strains. Selon To ‘Bungan N (2022) : The pharmacological study of HC showed that this plant has the potential to be developed as an antioxidant, antibacterial, antiviral & anticancer.
  3. Osteoarthritis, arthritis, rheumatism, oedema : Plant part used: Sheet.
Selon Audrina M (2018) : One of the medical plants that can be -used as an anti-inflammation treatment is Semambu leaf (Hyptis capitata Jacq.). The results of this research showed that the three doses of HC extract which are ES 100 mg/KgBW, 200 mg/ Kg/ BW, 300 mg/KgBW have the effect of anti-inflammation. Selon Rupa D (2017) : GC-MS analysis showed that HC leaves contain terpenoid compounds assumed to serve as anti-infective agents, including l-limonene, eugenol, farnesol isomers A, d-nerolidol, hexa-hydro farnesol & neo-phytadiene.

Further indications (including other extraction modes where applicable), dosages, precautions for use and full scientific references are available in the complete monograph.
