Selon Orliando Roeslan M (2021) : Squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) is classified as the most common type of oral cancer up to 90% of all malignant neoplasm in the oral cavity. Imperata cylindrica have been considered an alternative cancer treatment that may reduce side effects. (2016) : cylindrica using an oral squamous cell carcinoma cell line SCC-9 as an in vitro model system. - Hypertension, vascular constriction : Plant part used: Sheet. Selon MAR-MENSAH E (2010) : Ethanolic leaf extract of IC exhibited vasodilative antihypertensive properties similar to mechanism of action of adrenaline. This work was carried out to determine antihypertensive effect of ethanolic extract of Imperata cylindrical leaves using cat & rabbit models. - Smooth muscle contraction : Plant part used: Sheet. Documented pharmacological profile: Adrénaline-like.
Selon MAR-MENSAH E (2010) : The extract exhibited a significant dose-dependent reduction in amplitude of contraction of smooth muscle cells of rabbit jejunum in comparison with standard antihypertensive drug, adrenaline.
