- Cancer : Plant part used: Fruit.
Selon Olufemi AE (2017) : Conclusion: This study revealed the potential of ethanol extracts of K africana stem bark, fruit a leaf to reverse leukaemic effects in benzène-induced leukemia bearing Wistar rats and this suggest that the extracts might be promising natural, non-Toxic and anticancer agents. Leukaemic rats were administered with 100 mg/mL contained in 0.5 mL stem bark, 0.5 mL fruit & 0.2 mL of the leaf extract orally by gavage using oral cannula once daily post leukemia induction for four weeks. Selon Momekova D (2012) : Results: TME displayed prominent cytotoxicity against a panel of human tumor cell lines. - Bacterial infection : Plant part used: Stem bark. Documented pharmacological profile: Oxytetracycline-like, Amoxicilline-like.
Selon Auteur (2016) : Staphylococcus aureus, Proteus vulgaris, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Klebsiella pneumoniae & Citrobacter amalonaticus by agar-disc diffusion method. In vitro antibacterial activity of extracts was tested against six bacterial strains viz. Selon Tyagi A (2011) : Tyagi A et al, Isolation & antibacterial susceptibility testing of multi drug resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa causing urinary tract infection. - Bacterial infection : Plant part used: Sheet. Documented pharmacological profile: Gentamycine-like.
Selon OLUBUKOLA JO (2011) : Methodology: Crude extracts of fresh leaves of Ocimum gratissimum, Psidium guajava, Vernonia amygdalina, Kigelia africana, Azadirachta indica, Pistia stratiotes, Euphorbia hirta, bulb of Allium sativum & Zingiber officinale & Curcuma longa, were evaluated using the agar diffusion assay method & minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) to determine the antibacterial activities against Vibrio Cholerae, Escherichia Coli & salmonella Sp. Was not inhibited by ethanolic extracts of Euphorbia hirta & Curcuma longa, both water and ethanolic extracts of others inhibited the growth of Vibrio Cholerae, Escherichia coli & salmonella Sp to varying degree. Selon Binutu OA (1996) : Binutu OA et al, Antibacterial & Antifungal compounds from Kigelia pinnata, Planta Med.
